Just fitted some led headlights to my "64" defender, everything works fine, drl halos, flashing halo for indicators etc, apart from every time time we take a switch feed for the drl's the reception goes from the radio.
We have tried an in line suppressor but still no good.
Hope this makes sense.
Any ideas ?
Forgot to mention i have also tried a feed from the ignition barrel.
Cheers

Mark

Does that make my '89 90 a Defender too then?

As to the original question, why not ask where you got them from? Did you wire them correctly as per their instructions?

Is the radio wired correctly?

I'd call them, they ought to know, and probably better than 'us' ...

I guess "64" as in late 2014, rather than 1964! So no, you've still got a Ninety! :p

Lol, you guys can be brutal.

Mark disconnect the day light running from your switched live and temporary run a cable to the battery for them. Then start up and try your radio, if the radio works fine then it's a problem with your switched live.

Didn't think it might be inherent to the system! In which case, maybe whoever sells the kits ought to include some ferrite coils ....

Not entirely sure but think LED headlamps need to have self levelling and washers fitted. Check MOT rules.
