ok I don't know if anyone has thought of this before but.
the problem with leather seats, is the driver seat is almost always ragged, where as the passengers is almost always not,
so my idea is, what about the rest of Europe?
we drive right hand drive, over the water they drive left hand drive. so there good seat (passengers) would be what we are after and our passengers seats would be want over there. Yes?
so anyone over the channel know of a breakers that has freelander leather seats?

I've been toying with this idea for a while now. My V6 has full leather seats.
The drivers side is beginning to show a tiny bit of wear on the squab on the entry side. The console side is as new.
Now the passenger side isn't showing any real wear at all.
So my thoughts are these.
Why not remove the squab cover and possibly the foam pads and swap them side to side. This would then put the unworn section on the outside and the more worn areas on the inside where added wear would be minimal.

I seen paints n such on ya Wheeler dealers etc they use for restoration seems easy to do dunno about cost, or what a local trimmer would charge or a settee apholsterer etc...

Google Gliptone for leather dyes and conditioners. I condition my leather every month to keep the leather supple. I used these dyes on my Jag leather seats and it works really well. If you send him a sample of your leather from somewhere hidden he will mix the dyes to match. No machines just his eyes to do the job. He also has a comprehensive selection of leather swatches and might have yours in stock.

I drive an 03 R25 with leather seats. Have a careful look at those seats. I have a sneaking suspicion that they may fit - save for the extra height that the FL has and that just the base bit.

Could be another source of seats?

I'm writing from Italy...as far as I know something like 99% of Freelanders here don't have leather seats (air-con is kind of a must-have optional here, but leather seats are not, even if nowadays things seem different) but the moment I know about a scrap with a Freelander with leather interiors, I'll let you know...just in case ;)
