2.5 TD DHSE
So am winning the battle on my P38 in that electrics and mechanicals are all good (for now!!!).
So working on the cosmetics. One problem is a major leak.
As mentioned, I had a wet headliner behind the sunvisors, I have cleared out the sunroof drains. This seems to have done the trick. Headliner seems dry (slightly damp in front of main light, I guess the windscreen could be seeping!).
So the big problem, is the damp carpet in drivers footwell (Only place) and tiny amount of water sloshing in cable groove under drivers door kick panel. (so guessing same leak)
I am drying this out regularly and parking car facing downhill to protect the BECM (if suddenly, the water gets worse). Area round the BECM is dry, just seems to be the carper underneath driver's feet, not above. Sopping!!
I thought the repair to the rubber at the top of the drivers door would do it!! Obviously not.......
It is not the "o" rings!!! Still dry (thank god!!)
So where else should I look? I can't get the dam grill off below the windscreen, because previous owner stripped off all the cross heads, so will drill this out in the summer.
The pollen filters are clean and dry!
So where else should I look? I may have to wait until the summer for a detailed look, but any quick wins?
Thanks
