hi jason2 sorry to b a bit vague !! but yeah comming outa by rear disc !! i take it its going to b a pain in the arse job ??
many thanks for the replys
Del, I hadn't picked up a spanner for 30yrs but when I bought my Landy. I spent a few hundred quid on a good socket set, axle stands, a high lift jack ect.... I am now fairly confident on most things bar inside engines (not been there yet) If you look at Busters tips... busters-photo-tour-landrover-repairs - Land Rover Zone he covers most doable jobs that come up. Even the one you may have to tackle. If you post pics, people will help. My first couple of jobs paid for the tools...so I am in profit if you get my drift.
As a temp measure... if your hub seals are shot, replace fluids with 'one shot'... it may sort it. But as Jason says, you need to check why its happening...
FFS it's on his rear axle No swivels and no one shot grease!
You might also have a leaky half shaft seal that's letting diff oil into the wheel bearings. I never change this seal if it is as I feel it's better to have well lubricated bearings as they are prone to locking up a wheel if they are dry and fooking yeh hub with it
many thanks jason2, its not leakin too bad but will check out bearings aswell.
mrjc ive got plenty of tools hav been working on minis and vws for years !! land rover parts are just bigger n dirtyer lol. will try n up load sum pics as i do it.
