300 disco with a leaking windscreen any advice on options. Is slapping silicon selant on playing at it, or is a new screen the only real solution?

I've taken the silicone approach, however it only lasted 6 months before leaking again!!!

taint the windscreen its the seals that are fooked , the screens are bonded on a 300 tdi your soposed to replace the seals if the windscreens replaced , but a local guy round here says thats bollocks , he resealled mine up and no problems since fitting a new windscreen , dam good chap and cheap

Thanks for that but I look for the permenent solution. Of course I know that thare is no such thing on planet L/R
