Just noticed that there is a leak on the steering box of my 90. Its coming out from all around where the drop arm is attached to the box. Whats the cause of this and how do I solve it?? Thanks
Sounds like yer seals are ferked! Unless yer confident enough to strip yer box down, it may be time for a new/ recon one. And if ye're wonderin' how to change it, have a look at here and see...Just noticed that there is a leak on the steering box of my 90. It aint the size of yer hammer wots important its how you use it!I dont have a big enough hammer!
Some places do, some places don't. It doesn't hurt tae ask themJust another quick question if i get a recon steering box will they reduce the price if i give them the old one in exchange??
The best thing to get a ball joint off is use a ball joint splitter, or else give the bracket a couple of chaps with a claw hammer. As for the drop arm, try to beg, borrow or steal a good big puller. Ah only cut my drop arm off as a last resort!!!Its ****ing out a bit fast to keep topping it up so a recon box maybe a good idea. Thanks for the guide, should come in handy. not looking forward to removing the drop arm now though, the ball joint is proving hard enough to loosen, dont have a big enough hammer!
Oh aye Was a bit curious the night as tae what kinda speed it would do and took a wee run up The Glen. Fookin' ell!!!! Me erse was twitchin' like mad at 75mph! The bus has never bin that fast before Had tae slow down a wee bit cos the steerin' went a bit funky, felt very light and started tae wander a bit. Guid fun tho'See ye got yer bus back on the road the day Buster
Aye, must be the tyres cos every thing else is pretty much sortedHAHAHA so yer steerings ok as long as ye go slow then?
No quite, but it's gettin' thereMust be the newest 110 around by now
Don't worry, it can only go on one way. If ye look at yer drop arm splines, ye'll see one with a bigger gapJust got the recon steering box. just wondering, when i fit it does it matter where I locate the drop arm on the splines? If i need to centralise it how do i do it? I havn't actually looked at it yet, just wanted to check. Thanks
