Probably as expected having disturbed the fuel filler hose (NTC2337) to sap the tub the joint between the hose and the tank is now leaking. I have retightened the jubilee clip to no difference. so now have a couple of questions before I buy a new one:

Firstly only because I am at work and it is raining outside, does anyone know the external diameter of the hose where it connects to the tank so I can order some new jubilee clips/hose clamps and double them up. If not I will get wet this evening and crawl underneath with a tape measure.

Secondly does Hylomar blue work with diesel? I know it is good with petrol as covered the sender gasket on the MGA in it to try and stop that leaking. If it does I will do the same with the pipe before clamping the hose to it.

see my build thread i did the recently, i used the LR hose clips as jubes wont do the trick, they cut into it before it seals, they were cheap also did the forecourt filler hose neck seal at same time.

I am already using high pressure turbo clamps. And filled the pipe with hylomer blue. I will clean it down and dust with talc to try and find where it is waking from. It is the filler neck from the station wagon rear body so there is no guarantee it doesn’t have a crack in it as it is new to me. But am hoping it is a hose issue first of all.

the clmaps need to have the triangle relief dohickey on opposite side to the screw etc and yes could well be a cracked neck looks damp on both filler and rtn breather so my money is on filler neck aperhaps caused by perishing filler neck rubber

Well tomorrow’s task is to clean it all up and see what I can spot. And also rummage through my spares as I may have a spare neck in the shed.
