Hi, I have a series 3 landy, I have an axel that I wish to attach to my chassis that I am building , However I can't remove the bolt from the eyelet of the leaf spring due to a rubber bushing, This makes it impossible to undo and very hard to rotate the bolt. When hiting the bolt to remove it, the bushing absorbs all force. I want to know that if I heated and melted the bushing whether this would damage the leaf springs or their shape?

Thaughts would be much apriciated

year its a tuchy subject arround hear when it comes to burning buches.

The way that i have get wound this probloem is to press them out useing a hydrolic press, pops them out no probloem. the you can have fun with a hammer and chisel to remove the outer

Thanks again, the bushes are now fitted and the axel is back on the landy. Although much more work to do as it is just a rolling chassis at the mo. Stll I have a good couple of weeks before I start college in september. I will be having a busy summer! Cheers for your help everyone!! (oh by the way, bushes do not explode. Maybe Tikirocker burns his bushes after removing his fuel cap, well unless he answers this reply we will never know. Mabe it is a forgotton art perhaps? But the main thing is that I am still alive, which is usually a plus!)

Slap it all over the handle on the inside of the bedroom door and it stops the missus from getting out !!!!!!!!
