still going at this swaped relay 19 no change checked al eath points and wirers . when Ive got a newly charged battery it will start fine and the alternator is kicking out 13.5 volts on tickover then it starts to missfire then stalls when this happens there is not enough power to turn engine over with starter if I put volt meter on battery it reads about 12.83 volts but drops by about.01 volt per second if I disconect battery it holds volts all night. How do I find where this voltage drain is .

Your alternator is fecked.

Your Alternator output seems low at 13.5V....it could be the battery is really fecked dragging Alt output down, but on a decent battery Alt output should be closer to 14.2V at 2k rpm....and no less the 13.8V at idle IMO.

13.5V won't be charging the battery sufficiently....P38's hate weak batteries and low volts!

been and checked voltage on altornator and it is from cold 14.02 droping to 13.9 after it has ticked over for a time.had the nanocom on again to day when it was ticking over when first put on had a fult "code 0443 evaporative emission control system purge control valve circut malfunction " cleard fults and looked for any thing else then it would not rev above 1500 just kept coughing and splutiring and the nanocom could not connect to ecu then it just died when I restarted useing a booster pack it conected with ecu and showed same fault but run ok again.

Low volts will throw all sorts of spurious faults and cause it to run ****e.

The fact it runs better with a boost pack on tells you something.

an alternator can give charge, yet also drain battery when engine off..rectifier in alternator faulty will do this..very common fault on any alternator on any vehicle...

i am sure you have, but have you checked obvious like earths etc.
you can also have a battery that reads good but is infact fecked..ie gone high resistace internally..proper battery tester required to check on load..
