can anyone tell me the largest tyres that will fit on my series 3
on standard 16 inch
and on larger wheels if they will fit

went out in the Daihatsu to the pay and play today at chichester and had a great time but need the landrover out which will be soon when its motd

the biggest problem was ground clearance in the daihatsu not grip in the mud.

so when the landy comes out it has a 2 inch lift and will need good mud tyres and a few bits of under body protection and away l will go

doeas anyone have a size and make of tyre to look at as a starting point:D

Yea at least 50mm lift! 2 inches is nowhere near enough!

Also will need a couple of duplexed right angled spring hangers and a new ceramic track rod.

I'm gonna save you th eworld of pain.

you can fit 900 tyres with a few mods but the larger 900 sized tyres need more thought checkout spydermans 88

with a couple of minor mods you could fit tractor size tyres as fitted on the lr forester from the sixties

ive got those on my Fourtak ok at 15 inch but whats so good about the landrover ?
have you guys ever gone off road ?

the way you talk suggests your all web site and no action and thanks for the easy to understand posts, what stops you fitting 255 tyres straight on or are you going to waste more time on this as well

Of course you are right, nobody around here has any idea what they are talking about, they never go off road, or anywhere else, they simply sit on their pooters waiting for people to pop on here and ask about tyres, so they can offer sensible swift advice and under no circumstances should they take the ****,:eek::eek:;););):rolleyes::rolleyes:

to fit 255's you need to extend your shaft and adjust swivel nuts to avoid trapping the bellend
