The thread is called " pics of my landy, 7 hours and tin of paint later" or something to that effect. Its discopol who did it. Looks cool.

Mine is getting tdi in 3 weeks, done by a pro.:D

Oooh it looks good :D I might have to do the same soon was thinking G4 orange or Olive drab though as I've got a tub of that left from me series

I don't suppose we're lucky enough to have someone on the forums that lives in the south Lakes who knows the area well enough to highlight some noddy routes?

Either that or seeing as someone said 'stay away from the red ones' does that indicate there is a difficulty rating recorded somewhere?

Cumbrian lanes are rated green, yellow and red, red are hard ones that you kinda want a slightly modded landy for, definitely something with a bit of ground clearance, yellow are rather easy and green are basically gravel tracks

You can get the greenlane map off the .gov site

Having had a look round and trying to stick to familiarish places I think it's likely we will be staying @ the Blue House B&B in Cartmel, Ayside.
There appears to be a good mix of green and amber lanes within easy driving distance, and if I can't hook up with anyone there's plenty of things to do around the area.

I'll probably put a post out nearer the time to see if anyone if up for meeting up between the 2nd and 10th June....

Thanks for the help though guys.

I'm only a stone's throw from Cartmel too. Let me know when your planning to have a drive out and i'll do my best to come along. I'm quite familiar with the local area too, if that helps.

Mummy told me not to talk to strangers but I'll make an exception.

PS. the best mod you can make to your motor for green laning is to fit a CB radio. It makes things so much easier with regards to closing gates/ leaving them open/ letting people know about problems etc etc.

Dave.
