yep good day out...markdisco and family had been waiting for someone to show em some local lanes....the only ones i know really are local. and bucks brother came up from southampton in his freelander and performed as well as any of us even through the water ! ox drove etc.....and a mate from work came out.....an engineer on a ferry so water wasnt a shock to him !

Glad it went well for you mate and they enjoyed it?

Well if they wanna become 'ornery sluts' they best PM me!

(Bucks needs a mate to discuss battery life on his hearing aid anyways:D)

everyone that was out today had a bloody good sense of humour ( needed it with my navigation ) and was there to have a good days laning

sounds good to me. will ave a look at my shift pattern and text you some dates mate

Ok, nice little day out, just a few of us, nothing too organised.
Catch ya soon m8, bed beckons, forgot I need to be up at 5am

Well had a great day out laning......i will never ever criticise a freelander again ! bollock to all the its gets wet and the doors fall off , bloody good bit of kit ..... here's the piccies... of sabc, markdisco and meself.....the reason my doors were open was to let the water out !

oi ratty texted yer..... where you go ?

I dint get any text. You sure you got my number right?

Did you guys had fun?

we went to check 4 fords along the A338 near Porton...3 werent very deep, but the 4th one the water was up to the top of bumper (on a std disco)...

after this we went up to the plains near Bulford Camp and Tidworth after doing a couple of lanes...
Was unbelivable! I just could not believe how dry everything is.... one of the fords crossing just at buldford enntrance is completly dry..just a litte puddle there....
Even the Nine Mile river crossing is completly dry....including the whole river bed that goes up to tidworth...

The clay hole just after tidworth still had water, but then again I think there must be a source nearby as the water level doesnt seem to drop...

had a proper good day yesterday, big thanks to Disco71 for takin us round!! an a big thanks aswell for tieing my front wing back on! cant believe i ripped it off within 10 mins of being out, 1st lane and only half way down it!! i agree about freelanders  was quite surprised he never got stuck a single time, and expected to have to pull him out the water but he made it through (and with less in-car swimming matter than some lol). as for map reading ...... less said the better;)
