Whats it like around here any good?
Is there many members down here that lane much?
Just wondered as I'm moving down from Essex next month and wondered what the 'mud scene' is like down here.
Thanks in advance and sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Not laning but off road related- Muddy Bottom 4x4 is 20 mins W of Southampton, there is normally 2 pay and play days per month which attract a good crowd and are well priced.

Oh cool thanks guys. When I'm all moved and settled in maybe I'll see whos up for a green lane day or even pay and play. Heard good things about muddy bottom!

Salisbury Plain is only an hour up the road, you'll need someone to show you where you can go though as some of the byways run into range danger areas.

It would be well worth you joining the Solent and district landrover club.
They have regular greenlaning and visit several off-road sites.
Where abouts in Southampton are you moving to?

Thanks for that, I'm moving to Chandlers Ford. Where would I find these groups to join?

Muddy bottom is good. The plain is about an hour drive but I'd never go alone. There are a fair number of lanes near petersfield and alton. Where I live, near the hamble river there are a couple but nothing really worth travelling far for.

Hi mate I come from sholing soton and work in hamble
Can you tell me where the lanes are i m a member of sadlc
Thanks andy

I drive the lanes around Basingstoke, Alton, Farnham, Hindhead etc fairly regularly. Give me a message on here if you fancy meeting up as you're really not far from me at all, 25mins?

Like the linklink. are most other brown marked tracks possible green lanes thanks southernlandy.

Sounds good Ben jorden would be good to do some lanes as I'm still finding out

Right I've finally moved in and settled! Anyone about for some lanes tomorrow? I've got one of my mates from london coming down tomorrow in his frontera.
