I don't know if anyone on here is aware but Langdale Quest, probably the largest off road driving centre in the country is under threat of closure by virtue of their planning consent not being renewed.

details can be found here

http://www.langdalequest.co.uk/

There is an on line petition for anyone wishing to offer support, but be quick as there are only 48 hours left

the petition can be found here

Thanks for the support V890

Langdale Quest is an offroad driving cente near Scarborough in North Yorkshire, you can hire Suzuki jeeps to drive the course or use your own 4x4.

The following link will take you to their website which explains what is on offer far better than I can.

I have used Langdale this year, a weekend in Febuary! Excellent site lots of tracks to drive. They deserve our support. I have signed the petition, also the Chairman of the my local Landrover club the Aylesbury Land Rover Fanatics has sent a letter on the clubs behalf.

excellent, well i checked out their site, and it looks a brilliant place, unfortuanteley a bit far away from meĀ¬!

I believe the application has been deffered for about 6 months so, at least that gives them chance to try and work with the forrestry commission etc and hopefully come up with a sensible solutuion. It does seem, from reading the objections that most of the problems could be solved fairly readily if there is a will to do so from both sides.

Here's hoping
