Do landrover still make V8 landrover (since there is no RoverV8 being made)

also are there any recomended diesel upgrade from the TD5, (preferably Deisel V8)- is the GM duramax any good and would i have to replace the gearbox? - i dont much care about the planet as it would be an off road car
 
Hi, don't think they've put a V8 in the 07 Defender, just the 2.4 Duratorque (very very good tho), but since LR brought out their 3.6 TDV8 I've been thinking how good it would be to "shoe-horn" it in a 90, but I think it's the computers that would stop you...where would you put them all????? if money wasn't a problem then someone would do it for you, but it would cost alot I would have thought.

and yea I'd say you'd need a new gearbox to give it some stick off road

oh thanks, i forgot about the TDV8, recon you could fit it in, just.

also, where do you guys get all your LR car parts from
 
perhaps, do you think they will sell me one? - this 'prodject' is not going to happen soon. - but then it does
 
plenty of peeps have fitted GM 6.2 V8 doozels to deependers - I took a test drive in one once, but i couldn't afford the insurance.
got a feelin there were a fred on ear 'bout it back along - try a search.
