I would NOT use genuine parts, or britpart if it can be avoided, for example, the sh*tpart filter has no non return valve in it, it may seem a good deal but your engine will suffer on every start because all the oil will drain out of the system, meaning on every start its got to pump a full load of oil into the engine (noticeable on the OIL PRES. light extinguish time) But at the same time I would not pay 4-6 for a LR stamped one, because its a coopers filter with their stamp on it - so buy the coopers for £1.90.
As Pos said a lot of the sh*tpart stuff is also thinner gauge metal, paint job it’s terrible, made of softer steel.
Sh*tpart lift pump is a tinny little pressed together thing, the manual prime arm on them gets cut into by the edges of the main arm so the manual prime function fails. I got a Quinton Hazel replacement for not a lot more and MUCH cheaper than the LR original even although, YOU GUESSED IT, it’s the one LR use!
