Purchased a freelander 2 TD4 E GS 2010 reg last October
Decided to change the battery, the original was an AGM required for a stop/start engine.
The vehicle has been fitted with trailer electrical connection which disabled the stop/start
Should I replace with an AGM and should the system be recoded
Thanks in advance

Yes.
The vehicle charging system is designed to charge an AGM not a standard lead acid, so it'll very likely destroy the battery quickly.
Also the stop-start starter is more powerful, so needs a battery that will supply the necessary current needed.
