Hi all, i have a landrover discovery td5 series 2 2002 model. And am trying to fit the series 2 facelift front headlights.

Can this be done because there's no way that they will fit when i tried?

i have a set of link leads to connect onto the new lights, new and unused
pm if you want them as they save a lot of work, i did mine using the same ones, i bought these, then when i got around to doing the job, i couldn't find em, now we are moving house guess what, i found them! :doh:

Did mine with help from a good mate you have to cut out the plate that old lights fix to thats just the first job its not easy & if you make a mess of it your in big trouble :doh: so if your not sure DONT try it

best way is to get the mounting plates off the donor vehicle and cut old ones off then weld noo ones on. much simpler than trying to cut out for noo lights and mounting bolts.

you need a reciprocating saw, thats the easiest way, hold the new light up to its position and cut carefully,

Thats old hand I got a plasma cuter its the Muts nuts

how do you cut wood and nails or everyday use in the building trade with a plasma cutter?

Damn fine idea. Doing this myself soon.

And on that note, if anybody has a set of link leads spare or know anyone breaking a Disco with the related headlight mounts, I'd be grateful if you could drop me a PM. Thanks.
