So, the auld fella got his pacemaker and is back home, just taking care of a few tings there before I got back into the shed to crack on with this distraction project.
managed to make up the floor from some ally sheet, and got a framework made to support the body sides . , Also cut the original long wheelbase series one sides down to short wheelbase dimensions Its not perfect but when its all done and dusted it will hopefully look OK , Got the seating position sorted and the back of the cab sorted for the rear bulkhead .
Also cut down the inner sides and got them to fit the sides and the chassis . pretty much got most of the panel work sorted out . Will make a start to welding up the transmission tunnel and moving forward to fitting the outer bulkhead panel and bracketry to pick up the wing mounting points and bonnet .
Forgot to mention I got the rear axle back in and got the chassis rolling again. Hope to roll it outside and have a look from a distance ..
Bought a new Plasma cutter , makes life a lot easier , quicker and cleaner .
