might not be an unusual ask, but considering you have the grand total of 14 posts and seem to be pretty much an unknown on this forum, are you not a little suprised to not be taken seriously ?

Oh hello, I know you don't know me from Adam, but can someone lend/hire me their land rover for the day ? I'm a good driver and it's not really off road, honest, I've got a letter from my mum and everything.

Can't help but wonder why using a 4x4 hire firm didn't occur to him earlier.:)

Coupled with having sold his Land Rover when he obviously needed it, I think he may be one of those people that if he lost one of his brain cells, the last one would be lonely.:D
