Hi all, I don’t know if other people have the same trouble as me but I find Land Rover Parts codes really frustrating, there seems to be a sort of in house coding system and then a retail coding system, quite often you’ll find an exploded diagram with the part you’re looking for but the code won’t be recognised if you google it, is there any website which will convert these codes or you can input an older LR part code and it’ll give you the code it was superseded by, I have a Freelander 2 and I’ve got a part number of LR04608 but nowhere recognises this part number so it’s probably superseded or has an alternative retail code, has anyone had the same problem thanks guys...

What part is it? Go on give us a clue:p

Hahahaha it’s a part I’ve been looking for for ages, it basically fits in the early Freelander 2 centre console rear cubby hole, some people call it an ashtray, it basically acts as a lid for the square cubby hole and has a roller shutter type action, it’s shown directly under the blue highlighted item in the picture which is hopefully attached

Open the appropriate pic at the bottom.
Then you'll see various sections.
Open one & you'll see the parts diagram.
Click on the blue number next to the part & the part number will appear at the bottom of the page with the VIN range which can be important if LR changed a part.

Usually if any of those part numbers have been superceded googling the old number will bring up the new.
In your case LR006924 comes up superceded by LR010141 as JM says.
(Don't confuse letter o/O with number 0 as it won't work)
You might want to be sat down when you look its price up.

You’re all geniuses, no amount of me searching in the world would have found that new part number, Thankyou very much for that and I now have a way of finding future part numbers so really appreciate the information, you are right though the price is on the strong side, I might try to find the item on the second hand market first before committing to new old stock, thanks once again...
