Got in this morning, started her up and straight away heard another mysterious ticking noise. Oh no, what could that be, I thought, in a state of half panic, Turned the radio off and gave the throttle a blip to have a better listen. My daughter, sitting next to me, gave a sigh, rolled her eyes and, looking out of the window, said "it's that!", pointing to the sat nav lead vibrating against the low/high knob. The cold had made the lead hard.

And they are like the Forth Bridge, you're never finished.....

Get with the times, they finished the Forth Bridge a few years ago now with a special paint which means it won't need painting for another 50 or something years.

Sounds like a bright cookie you have there... you should ensure she assists you in all Land Rover diagnostics - cus most of the time it is the bleeding obvious thing you completely miss :)

I have a highly abused Series... i've long passed the worry stage - it makes all sorts of noises it shouldn't, but, it goes (most of the time) it occasionally blows an engine up, or a back axle, and i'm fairly sure the gear box is very close to going pop, sometimes all the electrics die, but, it's great fun, and I just put it back together when it breaks and keep on going :D
