Hi I have a Beautyful disco 1 ( the jasper conrad blue interior with 80,000 on the clock) the only thing missing is the radio/cassette. I have been to 'Hunters' the land rover people in Norwich, they could not tell me what model was in there as I have the dash board controls, which they said was rare for disco 1 - this is my 1st Disco - this was left to me from a very close friend and in very good condition. Could some help me with the correct model I should be looking for - there seems to be such a variety for sale on ebay ? many thanks Gary

Most if not all Disco's had dash board control's for their radio's, most people have upgraded to CD/USB player's. The original player's are to be found on ebay, but tend to come at a premium.

Hi Dewin, Many thanks for quick response. So why are there so many different types for a 1992 Disco - Hunters had 6 types on the system but was unable to tell me which went in my car they said it could be a AMR 2194LNF or PRC9463LNF but some came with ice controls some without (not sure what Ice controls are?) Many thanks Gary

I still have the original radio/cassette from my Disco1 sitting in a box in the back of the garage. It worked off the dash controls. I only removed it to fit a cd player.

Is it from a 200 or 300 as I believe they fitted different radio's from 94 onward's...

Hi WolfyDave you don't happen to know if there is any serial/model No. on the back even better do you wish to sell? would pay for postage and your time for posting if price is right. Many thanks Gary

Mine is a 300 series registered september 1994

Give me 2 minutes and i will check my owners handbook and let you know what model the radio/cassette is

I have put the handbook which tells you what model the radio cassette is with the radio. My garage is at my parents house so will check when i go thru next week and bring it home with me.
Although it said Discovery on the front i'm sure it was a Phillips set.

Hi WolfyDave the PRC9463LNF may stand for 'Philips radio Cassette' - could be possible a philips stereo. many thanks Gary

No probs Gary

Add me as a friend on here and i will add you....so i can message you as soon as i have the radio cassette at home

Dave

Hi
I have a 3 door 1992 2.5 tdi with the original radio/cassette in. It doesn't say what make it is, it just has Discovery written on it. I will pull it out at dinner time and see if there is a serial number on it for you
cheers
Paul

Hi there,

I have got a spare one out of a 95 disco, with the all important code £20 inc p+p if you are interested

Cheers

Hi, What I can gather so far, for the 3 door 1992 200series radio cassette you need is the Phillips and the part number is AMR1488, the later 300series have the different radio cassette and that model no. is AMR2194LNF and has a different iso connection. please let me know if this incorrect? still learning . many thanks Gary
