Hi everyone,
Having the following issue with my Disco 4 (3L diesel SDV6 automatic)
When I am driving down the motorway (around 70mph) every once in a while the car loses power and starts sputtering and dropping cylinders, almost like it's being starved of something, but when I take my foot off the gas immediately when this happens and reapply the pedal a few seconds later it seems to have gotten itself together and drives normally. It can be fine for an hour, a week, or a month before the problem ocurrs again. Almost feels like momentarily running out of gas, but this is not the case as the vehicle always has fuel. There are no engine lights or codes when this happens. Every time it gets checked at our garage, the car checks out (the joys with an intermittent issue)
After much research I have seen a few people suggesting it couldbe an issue with the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) However this was on a US forum and when I phoned LR UK, they didn't seem to be able to identify this as a unique part or tell me how much it would cost to replace.
Any suggestions or insight to similar experiences would be appreciated.
Thank you!!
