Hi guys,

Just looking for a reliable place to either buy or get my LT230 transfer box refurbished.

I currently have a 200tdi on a short bell-housing and I'm not sure if I'll have any problems matching up.
I'm looking for a better ratio for road use, so any recommendations are welcome.

Many fit a Disco transfer box. Higher ratio in high gear but still the same in low box.

I think mines a Disco box, as I've got a disco 200 TDI and axles already, it will happily sit at 75 on the M5.

How do I know which box is which?

I’ve got a 1.4 ratio box just taken off my td5 if your interested send me a message! Will be a lot better than that 1.6! It’s in excellent condition but I’m in Hampshire!
 
thats a 1.667 the lowest ratio suits a 2.5 na, a 1.4 would feel better which is the std defender box for tdi

So I'm after a 1.4 ratio std defender transfer box? Will the output shaft be ok for a short bell housing. And lastly what would the I.D be for one of them?

You must be revving the nuts off it at 75
Boost pin + rings, Garrett turbo, full face intercooler.

The only thing revving it's nuts off is the transfer box, makes a horrendous noise lol

yes all lt230s will fit,22d or 25d
 
Right I think I'm getting it

So I'm better off with a 22D = 1.410 (all 4Cyl 90/110 bar above)

How do I know what I.D relates to what ratio?

Hi

Unsure where to post this and how to post it or find the right place so will start here until pointed in the right direction. I own a Land Rover 90 originally was a 200 then someone put a 300lump in then I purchased it. Been having loads of fun until the other day the engine mounts gave way. Not a big issue as we are going to take it out make new mounts because whoever did it before didn’t do them properly. We then noticed the bell housing bolts we are missing about 3 at the bottom but we can’t get any in as they don’t line up what or how do I fix this ? Is it a new gearbox etc to fit I’m a bit unsure. Thank you in advance
