I could do something like this, only problem is in 6 months time I would spend an age searching for that 9/16 spanner to do my props with......

Mate, I like that. I've turned an old swivel ball into a pen holder. Recycle. Reuse.

Using the open end when you could have got a ring on that bolt head? Do you really think it's worth rounding off heads and skinning knuckles when you're down to the last few sheets? Tut tut...

Yeah, that did worry me for a while - the bog's the last place you want stuff rounding off. That's why I welded the spanner to the bolt and now it's never gonna slip. Dunno why I didn't think of that when trying to undo my propshafts too.

Another piece - flywheel trivet. Don't think it's a Landy...
Stripped, de-rusted, coated with vegetable oil and heated in the oven to form a lacquer coat.
