Kids love them cause they are like tonka toys ( do kids still have tonka's??) Adults love them cause you can **** every other motorist off some how and every one else just thinks if its got a few dings and scrapes then you must be on first name terms with Bear Gryls and that other out door bloke :) And your Neighbours love them cause they know there is a local tow truck when it snows :)

i've never had a motor get so many admiring looks whilst driving around, all men want a landy and all wimin want a landy man ,they just don't know it yet.:)

I do love the attention mine gets. Mostly I reckon its just cause its so tall and the tyres are really noisey lol.

From toddlers to grannies, they all stare! :D

Chris.

Chris.

But what they are staring at is Jesus driving a truck, not the truck itself. :)

I get a fair bit in my Series - but - i actually get a lot more in the Spitfire - probably helped by the roar it can make :)

Glad to see you are an optomist - i think a lot of people would see £2,000 for insurance and a second year at £1,500 - which - by the way - is not a 50% discount unless they put your premium up to £3,000 first - but - yeh - a lot of money to be paying.

Give it a few years and it will come down - mines only £100 now :)

In my first year i had 30% discount with pass plus which made it £2000
Now I have 50% with the NCD which is £1500
The renewal without NCD would have been £2900

I loved the looks mine got when I had no air filter and no exhaust after the down pipe, sounded like a right beast! Still get looks now it all put back together!

Please tell me you had something over the turbo?

And as for the exhaust, I did that but found fumes came into the cabin :D
Got a straight through middle pipe (scorpion) and a small stainless back box off a range rover, not bragging but it does sound very sweet even for a diesel and I still get that distinctive turbo whistle when engine braking down hill, oh and a K&N Cone filter :D
