I have just bought an 1988 petrol 90 truck cab. My usual insurer wants to insure it as commercial, says over 25 years is a classic and won’t do agreed value. Two classic insurers said it wasn’t a classic! Can anyone please recommend a classic insurer that will cover it?

Think true classic insurance is for cars 40+ years.

if you just want an agreed value policy try Adrian flux.

My defender is commercial lots are listed as vans so fall into the commercial/van bracket rather than car.

Talk with A-Plan/Howden. My 1987 Ninety Softop is on a multi car policy both with an agreed values. Be prepared to take and send lots of photographs to prove its true value, together with receipts...but for the sake of an hours work it's worth it.

+ do declare all mods your Ninety may have or your insurance will be null and void.

Also make sure it’s a 3seater. Insurance thinks anything with 2 seats is a sports car.
Should not be classed as a commercial it’s a pick up. I don’t have my Hicap as a commercial

AF were a bunch of “we don’t know” A-plan gave me an agreed value on my 2001 P38, and stuck with it when I argued when they devalued it.

Adrian Flux is an anagram for CNUTS

I have had classic vehicles for over 40 years would not touch em with a barge pole.
