Right ppl every November we have a Greenlane weekend up old lakes and its a top weekend beer , BBQ , fire ect ect. We do know how to party. Ok so this year we are trying to get a load more to turn up. We have a huge campsite to ourself and its more of a field than a campsite. Most of us travel up on the friday night in convoy but some turn up on the saturday morning because they are soft and think its cold in the lakes at november.
We usualy have a great friday and saturday night because we know how to party. Kids are welcome but you may want to camp a little walk away from the lads because we get a bit loud after a few beers he he. There has never been any problems at all we are all top folk out for a laugh and giggle so bring ya kids its not a problem.

SO WHO FANCYS IT ?
 
I do fancy a bit of a lark. Just got to get a pass out from our Myrtle and make sure the Landies not going to break down again!
 
How far ya got to drive from..... Or where from should I say... we can always take ya with us.....if ya landy less..... :D
 
Hull. I should have it going by then, though perhaps not if haddocks don't get their finger out and send me the right parts.
 
Right have ya been having probs with ya disco then ?
will ya be coming up with uslot on the friday evening or will ya be doing the saturday morning arrival ? Be nice to meet ya mate. Be nice if we could get yella disco to get him up as well as slob. Its a top do. We have two wood burning stoves aswell to huddle round a big gas BBQ for all to use and lights.....he he. Oh and its bring ya own beer aswell....

If ya thinking about coming up on the friday we can wait for ya if ya want and ya can do the convoy thingy. :D
 
It's a 90 and the gearbox has been playing up, kept getting stuck in gear couldn't see anything obviously wrong so decided to replace everything that could be replaced that could possibly be worn. But haddocks have taken nearly a fortnight and I still haven't got the right parts.

Would come up on friday and would go through Skipton. What recovery stuff would I need I've got ropes shackles etc but no winch or CB.
 
As for recovery all ya need is some Anadin Extra for the morning after.....LMAO Na just ropes and shackles they are not hard lanes just fun.
Sorry about the Discovery thingy I did not know you drove a proper 4x4 he he. I now have a top motor. Just been out and taken a photo for ya....

That was at Langdale. I would have been there today if the piggin thing had been going.
 
Thats a shame. Well the lakes is a top do and I have a spare CB hand held you can borrow it plugs into a cig lighter if ya have one that works. We will all probably meet up at mine for the friday night I am just out of skipton 6miles but easy to find. Then its just across a back road to the road to Kirby lonsdale. You have to get it sorted to come along it is a top weekend. You will find out more when ya speak on other....;)

So its about a month off now is the lakes trip anybody fancy it. We dont charge and its a top event. There are other clubs coming aswell like

And the one and only Landyzone........ So come on I am not charging for it and we need a big group.......

We are taking the wood burners aswell so we wont be cold......he he :D
 
Hi its the Jonathon of the duo - is this an annual event because I would like to come along in several years time when I plan on getting my first Landy:D:D:D. (hopefully a 90SW) So save a space in a few yrs- a love the whole convoy idea :p cheers, Jonathon

Hi again, I'm only 16:mad: so am not sure how my mother would take me buggerin off with, to a large extent, a stranger to drink n sleep in the lakes for a weeked - perhaps next year I can persuade Nic (hint hint if ur readin this;)) to come along or maybe, because I'll have my own car (not landy:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:) I might be allowed out:D. Where in the Lakes are you all camping? I think I can manage to come up, how extreme are the Lanes as I have not done much real country work just some forestry work when helping Ford out with there WRC testing. My son is also up for it in his 88 S2. Am up in the Lakes for 6 days testing with Ford next week (tyre testing for the RAC).

The lanes are easy...and if they get a bit much we are all there to help.
The evenigs may become a bit loud as we are there to enjoy a last camping weekend of the year. We have wood bruning stoves and a large club tent so just bring what ya want also taking gas bbq for all to use so bring some wood and meat then ya sorted for the weekend...

OH and BEER + BEERMONEY for pubs...lol :D
 
Might not be able to come up on Friday evening (work commitments) but will certainly be there Sat morning. Would the front bumper on my 300tdi be at risk or am I best nicking my daughters 90td for the weekend? Barry
