That's interesting, Henry. Thanks for your comments. I had BOTH Lambda sensors replaced with brand new ones before last MOT and that appeared to significantly improve the lying green display's output for a while. BUT...it is still a bit better than when on old ones, but my simple OBD2 device keeps saying both banks are almost always either running too rich or, less frequently...running too lean. I cleaned the MAF a few weeks ago when I serviced the LPG fuel system, but I've not looked at the MAF sensor. Presumably it's connected to - or upstream of - the MAF?
The Bosch Maf sensor is generally a 100k service item, it'll flag a fault code if it is going up the ****ter.
Mine does around 13mpg around town on LPG and 17 on a run.

Just looked at a couple of MAF Sensor cleaning vids on YouTube. I'll pick up some MAF Sensor cleaner tomorrow and see if that'll help.
I should have said on my earlier post that I did a crazy high mileage towing significant tonnage over much of the period with my 4.6 Thor P38.

Maf sensor cleaner or electrical contact cleaner works.

I too tow with mine, good tow cars.

In my experience, after owning two P38's, I've found the MPG readout to be significantly over-optimistic. The ONLY way to ACCURATELY determine the ACTUAL fuel consumption, is to brim-brim the fuel your engine greedily burns. Typical mileage returned, over 40,000+ miles, on my 4.6 Thor / LPG-conversion P38 is at best 11 MPG toddling about, 14.4 MPG on a long run. The dash readout may say up to about 30MPG on a long'ish run...when actual is typically 14.4 MPG. when ONLY toddling about, it's ACTUAL MPG has actually been as little as 8MPG. That's when this grown man could be seen crying...
On my diesels, both have slightly pessimistic readings on the message centre compared to the brim to brim figures. Being a nerd, I brim the tank and reset the trips every tankful and record the figures.

That's what I did too Keith. Unfortunately, the log disappeared when my briefcase was pilfered...

I did look at eurocrap parts, they were more expensive and not lucas.

Brakes all working tho, today had a cold start rattle sounds like 1 or more lifters have gone off and are draining down over night.

Oil and filter change next and Italian tune up
What's an Italian tuneup? New expression to me.

Oh it reads 11.9 at the moment, I dont own 1 for mpg it's spg
Me too...but the dismal economy tends to wipe off a liitle of the smile at time of sating its thirst for Unleaded & LPG. The smile returns, however, upon hearing the rumble upon reawakening of that glorious 4554cc...

Will now be getting new cats the originals have collapsed and are restricting performance and are rattling there tits off . I messed about in 2018 with the exhaust and cats but the other cats were not the correct type think they were gems and had incorrect size for the O2 sensors.
Waiting on delivery then swopping them out plus will refit the centre box delete pipe just for giggles

Length of scaffold and a big 'ammer?

Well it's a x4 day wait so I mite just remove them and see, unfortunately the shape of the down pipe does not allow for such access to the cats.

On MrGorsky's I floored it and all the bit blew put the back onto the lawn. Ran much better afterwards!
