Give your intercooler a good clean out with a couple of gallons of petrol, you will be amazed at the difference.

Pertol? Gulp!!

White spirit is probably safer! Make sure you dry it out completely before re-assembly and that any fumes from the cleaner have been blown out ( a hair dryer is useful for that!)

Paraffin might work better (cheaper and easily available in large containers!) but as I said, just make sure you get rid of any fumes. I think there are a few sites describing the procedure on the web last time I looked - a quick Google will soon find them I'm sure.

Lay it on its back and fill it right up and let it soak for a couple of hours - rinse and repeat.....

do you think this will cure the intrmittent power loss?

I forgot to mention i replaced the maf last week but it made no difference.

Hi all.
Have you checked fluid levels in the gearbox? Also you need to check that all the pipes for the intercooler and the turbo are tight and that they have not delaminated and are leaking air. I assume that the dhse are turbo powered!!

Cheers, Nick.
