I eventually found out why I was running on almost half power,
MAF sensor
I tryed cleaning MAF but too no avail. So its off too LR on monday for a new one 75+vat

I have now disconnected it and it runs like a rocket all that air getting straight in. I hope I dont blow another sensor.

Hello

Can I ask how you got on with this? It sounds like a similar problem I am havin on my 92'classic.
When I put my foot down, it feels like the engine is about to stall then pulls off but very jerky, if I ease off the accelerator, it is fine again.
How would I go about cleaning the MAF?

What year P38 have you got?? I have also got this problem on and off and i'm slowly trying to get round to solving it. Does your vehicle have EGR??
