had a good day at work today i got to drive a brand new L405
amazing bit of kit and such a pleasure to drive
working for jlr does have it benefits i suppose

Looking forward to trying one myself.

I used to work for JLR in transmissions and later in proto build. I do miss getting to drive the cars.

Now I work on aero engines for a well known British aero engine manufacturer in Bristol. Very different requirements for reliability.... There aren't any AA vans at 38,000 feet.....

So the crap GM box in the L322 is your fault then:violent:

Thankfully I have no need to fly anywhere anymore:rolleyes:

I worked for Jaguar on the X- type auto, then on the later s-types, before Jag and LR merged - and it was then that I went to work on prototypes.

I wouldn't have touched the GM box!

I am surprised that the ZF 5speed is having trouble though.
It's a pretty darn good box in a lot of applications.

Reliability and quality take on whole new meanings in the aero sector!
I see what goes into aero engines - and I'm happy with them - it's the nut loose behind the wheel that I worry about.

I assume the ZF 5 speed in the L322 is pushing the limits in a 2.6 tonne vehicle.
