Hi newb here. :)

I have a 53 L322 that has always had an issue with its folding wing mirrors.
Basically, when I press teh button to fold them in, they close, then automatically re-open again. So they don't stay closed. Ever.

It seems like the mechanism inside is over winding them and this causes it to reset or something.

I've seen a vid on how to remove them, but I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and how they fixed it?

Any help / advice appreciated.

They all seem to do that, I think the car has Dumbo psychosis, if it flaps the mirrors fast enough it thinks it will be able to fly:behindsofa:

Thanks folks. I did a search on here and found a link to some detailed instructions with pictures on FullFatrr.

It took 2 minutes to resolve. For those who want to know in the future:
I'd noticed that the drivers side mirror was trying to close further than it should, so figured this was the one with the issue.
Gently prize off outer cover using a blunt flat instrument. Remove ring and rear case. You can detach the light, but there was no need to.
Microswitch is held inside a case. Use knife to lift tab to release it and slide it out.
Theres a metal tab on the microswitch. It had come off of mine (in a car wash, when it was open and was forced close I think) . The pivot was a bit worn / grotty, but still ok to hold the tab when put back on. and for it to stay located properly
Test to check the wing mirrors both open and close.
Refit the case and ring.

Happy days. :)

Job done.
