Hi all,

did a lot of searching online and can't seem to find a guide to replacing the auxiliary belts on my L322 TD6. Anyone know where I can find one? Had it in the workshop last night (EGR delete, fuel and crankcase breather filters) and the started screeching about 10 seconds after start up. It always chirped when cold but this was far worse. I did drop a short 1/2" extension bar, but I'm confident this made it to the bottom. Though I smelt burning, and I noticed the aircon belt starting to strip. The pulleys I can see are all turning, and loading up the PAS or alternator has no effect. Air con on or off changes nothing. I need to know what to strip to get access now.
Thanks,
Dave

Jack the front up, there is a plash plate you can remove to see pulleys at the bottom, sounds like your extension didnt quite make it all the way down and is jamming something.

The socket made it, but there was a m6 bolt that didn't, jammed the aircon tensioner pulley. New pulley and belt on order

Hi, same problem with busted belt. Have removed splash plate but looks like you have to remove front belt before fitting ribbed belt. Does anyone know the replacement process? Looks like poss rad removal before you can get to it?
