hi hello im new here
i have a l322 that wont crank over anymore ,
first it did it a few times then was fine then one day 8 wks ago it just stopped cranking over full stop .
people tell me steering column ecu gone , but im not so sure as all the tricks to get one start dont work
and my key works fine does not lock ,ignition comes on but not steering lock anymore but wont crank over batt fine starter fine starter relay all tested , even got another column and ecu and the car still does the same ,
any idea,s out there im so fed up of it now tried everything to fix no joy .
shes a great car no probs before ,can anyone advise or share what cured it if you have same as me

just thought , have u had a diagnostic reader plugged in by any chance

as u are in the introduce section , try posting a thread into the range rover section
 
have u pulled out fuse 18 then waited 30 x seconds then put back in and see if it will start

has ur steering lock come on or is it jammed in the unlocked position

as ur not hearing motor lock and unlock
 
just in case this may help , ref the gearbox selector switch

but fingers crossed someone in the range rover section may know of a quick test
