Hello All !
Well had my L322 for a few months now ! touch wood no major problems LOL
I want to do a full service on it before winter - that way i know whats been serviced and that its been done properly.
I would like to change the engine oil, fuel filter, oil filter, cabin filter, air filter etc..
just a quick couple of questions... what is the correct oil type for the engine ? ? and how much will i need ? 5w 40 ?
also i want to service the gear box. As in change the oil and sump filter. is this easy enough to do ?
i understand i need to drain it and fit a new seal in the sump casing and change the filter in the bottom. can anyone tell me the correct oil and how many litres will i need ?
i understand you cant drain all the old without taking out the torque converter ?
im not too bothered about some of the old oil being in there, as long as most of it is new then im happy. did all the early TD6's have the GM boxes ?
iv also heard that its a little tricky to fill the new oil in as the filler hole is quite high up ?
can anyone give me any pointers on the service process ?
Thanks Guys
