Hi,
Car went to garage for repair and now the sata nav powers on to the LR logo and stops, the lower left button has a flashing orange light and that's it. Was this caused by disconnecting the battery? Is it wasy to replace this unit - looks like it's fitted behind the dasboard trim.
Thanks

Seems like you have a bit of a case against the garage if it went in ok, and its come out fine? Then again it depends on the garage, are they likely to fix it or just leave even more oily fingerprints all over the dash?

I'm tempted to say disconnect the battery again, leave for 5 mins and re-connect, but this could cause you more problems - do you have all your security codes, etc. It is a good fix for software troubles though, a bit like re-starting a PC.

There might be a reset button on the processor unit, which is behind the left hand panel in the boot.

Nope

LR states in the manual to wait 2 mins after shutting off before disconnecting the battery to allow the computer to shut down.

I'd be back at the garage in a heartbeat.

Sounds like they have disconnected the battery whilst the nav computer was still active which means it's fried
