Hi guys

Does anybody know of a company that produces rear brake line kits for the L322. Mines rusted through somewhere half way alone the body. I can find a kit in America but nothing over here. Don't really wanna have to do the flares etc myself.

Anybody had this done at a garage? Did it cost a bomb?

Cheers andy

Copper pipe?

It's just the ease if a kit that appeals, I've done a couple of old minis in the past so I have the tools. A kit would save some time.

I presume the lines are 3/16 or 7.6mm. Could somebody confirm this for me?

Cunic is better, but copper is OK. No idea of the size, measure it.

Brake pipe is 3/16". Or 0.1875" in metric that would be 4.7625 mm. You cannot get metric brake pipe.

dunno where I got 7.6 from???

3/16 is what I expected.

Sorry to sound ignorant, dumb or possibly both but what is cunic? Where can you get it from and what are the benefits over a copper brake line?

many thanks

Copper/nickel alloy I believe, from any Motor factors:)

Stronger, less prone to corrosion & stress fractures.

7.62 mm was the standard German rifle round slightly larger than the standard British and allied .303" so they could fire our rounds from their weapons but we couldn't use theirs. Allegedly.

Didn't we go over to 7.62 mm so we could use any captured Rusky rounds but they couldn't use ours ?

Don't know just something from the now failing memory banks. 7.62 mm is .308 i believe. So won't chamber in a .303. Maybe the new NATO round is like that but it's as useful as tits on a Mars bar for stopping anybody. The old FN would stop a bloody armoured car never mind a bloke. Rounds were heavy though in 200 packs. :D:D

The Sturmgewehr 44 was the first to use the intermediate sized cartridge. It was 7.92 mmx33 mm. The AK-47 fires a 7.62x39 cartridge. So does the SKS and the RPD light machine gun.

Talking of Mars, I remember a pistol by that name. On test the report was "anyone that fired it once did not want to fire it again" It was a long recoil pistol of nearly 2 inches and used special bottle necked cartridges of "exceptional power"
