haha ! good !

was just checking you didnt fall into the HGF trap like alot of others do !

TD4 or XDI then ? ;)

2001 TD4, which had a new(ish, 30K) engine and auto gearbox at 80K now at 120k, one owner and complete set of service receipts. Paid £1800, virtually couldn't see what colour it was, as was so grubby and mouldy on the outside, but a weekend of love, hard work and shares in autoglym you wouldn't recognise it! There are a hell of a lot of TLA's and FLA's on this forum aren't there!!! What is a HGF?

sounds good mate,

iv had two freelanders, both a 2000 Reg XDI and a 2004 TD4 sport.

both great cars ! just too reliable for me ! haha

need a range rover to keep me busy fixing it ! lol

HGF = Head gasket failure !

the dreaded words from most 1.8 K series and 2.5 V6 owners

Went to try and change electronics from my key fob to a new aftermarket shell
and the chip dropped out not entirely sure where from.Put it back in a few different ways but getting it to semi respond but lots of random clicking going on and car will now not start.Locks and unlocks but not sure where the chip was as it came flying out from somewhere.A) i need to know see diagram of where it was and B) probably need to reprogram ?
Any ideas anyone ?

its a triangle shaped piece of plastic right ?

if so, then it sits at the top left hand side of the key (as if you was to look at the key with the buttons facing you.

it should sit in there nicely.

good luck

hi all , i have posted on this before .. 3 months ago i needed new key , went to main dealer in manchester took i.d. and logbook ..paid £128.00 in total waited 6 days they phoned me that key had arrived went there shown reciept and copy of order ,the parts man handed me key i asked about synchronising he said dont need to as from middle of last year the new system the keys are made up to has changed and NO SYNC NEEDED; took key to car unlocked using fob got in started and drove away ,,no problems since ,!!!!!!!!!!!! i doubt very much that you will have any success any other way as i have stripped fobs down and researched this quite extensivley, so that if it could be done then i would be a rich man by now by making and selling p38 and l322 keys and fob to all the gullible people around ,, take note that there is only one way to go about it ,,,BUY A NEW ONE FROM MAIN STEALER ... KIND REGARDS TO EVERYONE:):):)

Any one know an upto date price for a new key for 2002 L322?
Thanks
