First frost of the year and having only owned her for a few months I find out the heated screen doesn’t work. Checked fuse 47 and all is ok. I understand there is a single relay on the passenger side under the dash which i will change but are there any wires I should look at and where are they 2002 4.4 thanks

Just a thought before the knowledgeable folks come along. I think RAVE should have the info where the wires are. Not sure as I'm using tablet and cant check.

Have just spent an hour on rave and could really only find out how to reply the screen. It mentions unplugging the wireing but that’s about it.

Hmmmm, well that's not so good. What about google, anything on there that might help, whilst you wait for the gurus to skive off work ;)

I've just had a look around google and there seems to be a few diagrams and a few posts about this issue, showing on this site and others. As it's above my pay grade I'll let you have a search around, so I don't send you looking at the wrong thing. Good luck with it. When the workers return I'm sure they will be able to help, if you haven't found your answer by then :)

Addit: found these two posts on google , if they help : "I looked at the wiring diagram for the heated windscreen in RAVE and as you stated in a previous post each half of the windscreen is controlled by it's own fuse and relay. Both circuits share the same ground."
"The front windshield (windscreen) has a molding that covers the bottom edge. This aoso covers the base of the windshield wiper arms. If you raise the hood, you will see four or five screws that hold this molding. beneath this molding, lots of crud can collect. This is also where there are four connectors for the windshield. Two near the center and one near each outer edge"

No screen is good no chips ect and old p38 was older and still servicable
You cannot know the screen is good unless you put an ohm meter across the elements with the wires disconnected to check for an open circuit.
You also need to put a DVM on volts across the feed wires to see if there is any voltage there.

Some peeps don't look very hard.... this is from RAVE....
