Hi gents, first post here.

For my sins I purchased a 2003 3.0L Vogue last summer and she’s been pretty expensive so far! Injector, crank shaft pully and susp sensor all replaced within 3 months! Still, went in with my eyes open and not regretting it so far.

During the recent cold weather I got a brake fluid light come up then the next day I got both HDC and Air Susp inactive at once. Brake fluid I can obviously check but do you think I’m right in assuming the other two are electrics, probably due to the cold, rather than me getting those two issues at precisely the same time? Could trickle charging / replacing the battery (last done in 2016) be the way forward? Thanks

As Datatek says, check the battery, battery battery.
They are very battery hungry motors with a hell of a lot of electrics on, the slightest drop in voltage can cause a whole world of issues.

On your model I believe it takes a larger battery and most suppliers don't know this and just give you the smaller one for a non vogue.
you want the biggest that will fit, we are talking clearance of a few mm and its hard to get in there, you should be looking at a battery of 110Ah 1000cca.

Thanks for the responses gents, can see this being a really useful forum.

Just in case anyone has the same combined three lights I’ll let you know how I got on this morning...

Went to tackle the check brake fluid fault and 200ml of top up cleared that and the rest! Can only assume that the computer thinks low brake fluid > disable HDC > also disable suspension for off roading. Makes sense when you think about it and glad I picked that one first!

Is this information only for the gents?

A fault in the ABS system will also bring on a CAN fault in the EAS system too.....I do repeat myself often with that message :D

all welcome...oooops
