Hi, I now need to replace the front to rear brake pipes on my l322 due to corrosion just wondering how much of a job it is to remove the fuel tank or is it something I,m going to regret starting to do considering I will be doing it on driveway. Cant seem to find any videos or procedures of what the job entails.

Quite involved....need to remove, the rear propshaft, remove centre console and remove handbrake cable, remove Fuel Pump, Remove tanks shields, maybe exhaust, its all in RAVE

I've been as far as taking out the exhaust, heat shields, rear propshaft when i removed my transfer box and its pretty quick up to that point.
i used a battery drill with a 3/8 square drive adapter to speed things up as the heat shields have a load of bolts. the exhaust is a two man, two jack job really although only 4 bolts at the front the rest hold the hangers but again i use my cordless with various extensions once i have loosened the rear ones.
this was all done on my drive but i have never been as far as removing the petrol tank and i dont know if you need to either.
i bought some cheap railway sleepers and drove it up onto them to give extra height but as Saint says, download rave and have a read up.

I have doubled up the railway sleepers before to give double height, just double the length of the lower one compared to the top

Ok , thanks for replies, Ive been watching a video since on Atlantic British site doing a complete brake pipe renewal and they have done it without removing any thing beside the plastic cover that runs down side by doors so that's going to be the route I will be following now . anyway thanks again.

I know this was years ago but I'm doing the same, also think I need to drop fuel tank. How did you get on in the end.
