Range Rover Help Please!!

SatNav CD and aux all working fine on my RR L322 (03 Plate) but the sound sudenly disapeared?? LR garage has not inspected the vehicle but told me it's the black box unit below the satnav in the left hand boot space. They want a cool £900 to replace it... seems a lot without even an upgrade head unit...

As everything is working fine just the audio volume has gone - could it be a loose wire or connector problem? No music is killing me. Should i spend the cash??

Need expert advice

Cheers, Vino :(

Sounds like the amplifier unit.

Although it is the most likely problem, they have a bit of a cheek telling you it's gash without even plugging in the testbook. Could just be the fuse for it has gone.

Good luck!

On other threads, people have talked about water getting into the space where the amp is located causing corrosion on the connectors etc. Not sure if it's just a P38 problem or if it affects the L322 as well. Worth looking yourself before you fork out a big wodge:D

Does sound like the amp to be honest if no sound at all from anything (radio, tv, sat nav).

You could try removing fuse 49 in the fusebox and then reinsert and see what happens.

Not sure why the Dealer is quoting you £900. An exchange DSP amp is £480 and labour to fit/program is no more than 40 mins.
