Hi guys my 2010 L322 electric side step (O/S) seems to have become lazy, I've changed the N/S but can't find a replacement motor for the O/S unless I take a loan out !!! does anyone know someone who rewinds these or where I can get one ?

Have you tried having the motor 'looked at' by an auto-electrician or person competent with electronics ?

If the motor has a manufacturers number or code on it try Google-Fu on that ...

Yea the linkages are all pretty free, the colder it gets the more the motor struggles.. I've tried googling the motors lr004808 and FSM0R3 but pretty much still wanting the earth .. through the FSM0R3 no. They say they are fitted to the L495 model but £100 less... seems strange and don't want to end up with the wrong one ..the only way to test it is a bench test meaning stripping it all down remove it and yes it'll work just be high resistance through the motor windings and will struggle under load which can't be done on a bench

Could just be dry bearings in the motor or worn brushes.
