Hi all,

Cruising along at 30mph on boxing day in my RR, all of a sudden there was a warning chime, "Air Suspension Fault - Normal Height Only" appeared on the dash, the light disappeared from the height selector rocker switch and there was an audible release of air from infront of the driver seat.

Went out to the car today to see if the error was still there or if it was a random occurrence- unfortunately it is still an issue. The orange light on the rocker switch remains until you start the engine and/or try to raise the height. I was able to lower the suspension after turning the car off and on, and doing so before the fault appeared again. I then tried to raise it, heard the compressor startup for a couple of seconds and then stop, giving me the air suspension fault message again and extinguishing the orange light on the rocker. Terrain response system is still active.

Any advice on where to start? Particularly curious about the release of air at the front right which I've never heard before, but the car doesnt seem to be sitting squinty.
Cheers!

Car is an 07 L322 4.2 S/C.

In the o/s/f is a 'cross-over' valve, it's tucked behind the arch liner nearest the drivers door.
Easy to check for pipes blown out.
Mind you, the air reservoir and valve body are just below the drivers seat anol.

Wont be any of that or he wouldnt be able to maintain normal height. If any of those pipes blow out the front would drop

S/C is Supercharged.

I think the crosslink valves were removed post 2004 ish....

So I removed the air compressor today and bench tested it - all is well on that front. Also tried connecting up a brand new air compressor, just incase, but no difference. I removed the front wheel arch liner to check the pipes and valve block and they all appear to be intact and in good nick, certainly can't find any noticable leaks. What's worrying me though is that given that I heard the rapid release of air from somewhere infront of the driving seat position, I was expecting to see some sort of emergency safety valve on the valve block or something, that would explain the noise of the air escaping that area... but there isn't one. Does anyone know if there is an exhaust valve of this nature other than the one on the compressor housing? I haven't yet checked the hose between the reservoir and the front valve block but that is next on the list.
As mentioned before, the car is maintaining height, including overnight/many days without starting, and the compressor will run for say 30 seconds after starting, and you can even select offroad height and it will start to raise very slowly (sometimes accompanied with "vehicle lifting slowly") then it will fault and inhibit the system. After a bit more time, the terrain response system seems to he inhibited by the fault too. If you dont start the car, you can lower the car without any fault developing, it's only when the compressor is running that it seems to fault. Switching the car off and on clears the issue until you turn on and the compressor runs again.
I've got myself a copy of 4dCan from RSW but unfortunately despite having an elm327 obdii adapter, it doesnt seem to be reading any data from the car. I've emailed Storey Wilson about this but trying to do what I can practically until I get more info from diagnostics!
Any further suggestions appreciated! :)

Thanks for the suggestion Henry but wouldn't leaky spring seals mean the car would lower with time (ie overnight)? It holds height consistently without issue.

Hi all, found a hole in the front of the air reservoir due to corrosion but now have a different air suspension error after replacing the reservoir. I'm no longer getting the "pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir" error but I am now getting "Air Spring Air Supply Fault, Compressor".
Can anyone tell me what this could be? I've already bench tested the compressor itself and it's working fine (and sounds fine when running) so I'm assuming this is some kind of valve? Again, the error resets when turning car off and on, compressor runs for a short period of time then cuts out and faults. Seems I've fixed one issue and discovered a second. :(

I'm guessing this is probably to do with the valve block at the compressor - does anyone know how I can test it/disassemble and check it out?
