2000-2005 are more like £15,000 and they have air

Hmm I wonder why?

To rectify your issue you could swear at it and do nothing, or you could get some decent diagnostics, which will work on more than just the EAS so in that respect it's a good idea to get anyway..

Once you have the right kit you can have a good look at the EAS.. :D

An old saying goes that the wrong tools or no tools makes an otherwise simple job a nightmare.

@Russell 1 what year is your l322 as the bmw inpa soft ware which is free will work on the early ones, i think you just need a cable and you can do allsorts the car systems with it and will save you a fortune

It's a new shape 2005. Ive got a foxwell which can read codes.
See if you can read codes in the suspension section. It may shed some light on the issues ;)
If you start a new thread and list all the issues you've got and what happens
I.e. with the trailor and we can set off from there. :D

Maybe even read the height sensor outputs and move the arms to see if there is a dead spot.

On the P38 a soft-fault can cause tge suspension to go to high. I have no idea if the L322 is the same but it is possible.

A good thrashing a la Basil Fawlty, usually works wonders.;):D

Well today I fitted the arnott spring kit and a new set of Monroe rear shocks.
The ride quality is the same if not better and the handling is significantly better possibly due to the rear shocks.
I will look in to sorting the dash error tomorrow.
My kit came with a box to go behind the clock.

Brian has Monroe, I think. Gen 2 Arnott didn't seem much different to me but Gen 3 seemed better.

Just rer-ead. Metal springs?! On an L322?

I just don't get how spending £500 on an aftermarket suspension kit can be better than the millions that LR will have spent developing ESA in the first place.
It's surely better to maintain the ESA to a high standard, rather than fit something that LR wouldn't approve themselves.
Also how do spring converted FFRRs alter the headlamp aim when the vehicle is loaded? If the headlamps can't be altered to compensate for variation in vehicle loading, then it should by rights fail the MOT.
Also how does TR work when it's been compromised by EAS removal, never mind the effect on handing due to the loss of cross linking.
I personally can't see the point in buying an RR, if you're going to rip out one of the best parts of the package. :(

The fact is it drives better. I think air suspension is a bit of a gimmick really like the silly activity camera thing. With regard to any of the off road enhancing features, I will never use this off road, it has 20 inch wheels with rubber band tyres and I can't fit smaller rims because the brakes are too big.
If it has any features to improve the on road high speed cornering then from test driving so far it now is more level with less leaning.

The only reason it might drive better would be the EAS needed sorting out properly. Not that difficult . . .but your choice. Will be interesting to see what the MOT tester says !!
