Hi Guys,

Let me introduce myself first. My name is Aid and i live in Holland :) I drive a L322 Land Rover 3.0DT6 and i`m very happy with the car untill this problem has started. I have been to several "specialists" in Holland and they just cant figure it out what is wrong with the car, so u guys are my last hope...:eek:

Let start at the begining:
-> Coldest night ever in Holland, the passenger side ( left hand drive car) was al down and the rest of the car was just at the normal ride height.. been to the specialist and he cleared the fault ( charge 50 uk pound). I was driving along for several days

* The car begin to lower at the passenger side and i heard a knocking noise from the dash wich is still there. This occures some times. This was that bad that i felt the car pulling at the right side so it was obvious for me that the strut was leaking. I called the specialist and he said no i think its the compressor..... he couldnt find a leak at the car. He gave me a compressor to test ( this was a refurbished one that he had left from another customer). He has calibrated the car and i was happy for a week..... No lowering and the suspension worked fine.

Suddenly the car after 500 miles gave the air suspension inactive + self level suspension inactive and a drove to the specialist. Than he said the compressor wasn`t working at all:eek: so we attached the old compressor and it seemed to work for 100 miles but than again while driving the car was lowring at the passenger side.... The car didnt give any faults and we have tested it and looked for faults in the system... We found a little leak in the air tank but hower if the tank is leaking the whole suspension would go down and not only the right passenger side? And why was it working for a week?

Yesterday i decided to take a look if the car is going in the terrain mode. It did the car pumped up the right side very high and than just got back at the entry level and said air susp inactive and self leveling inactive..

We want to fix this problem but we really dont know what is going on and the car doenst give any fault at the moment but is lowered at the right side always... We checked the :
Compressor -> working
Sensors-> No fault
Strut-> not leaking

Has anyone got an advice?

Thankyou guys !!!

Greetings from holland!:amen:

Have a search for the thread by rs2000custom about leaking cross link valves.
Otherwise it needs to be looked at with live data.
Out of interest, whats the road tax on your car in Holland. My dutch friend did tell me but I've forgotten.
:welcome2:

Thankyou, do you think it can be a cross link valve ?
What do you mean with live data?

The road tax i pay in holland is 500 british pounds for 3 months:rolleyes: haha so it is very expensive to drive this kind of car in Holland. So thats why i ask you guys to help me because im paying a lot of tax hahaahah

What do you mean with live data?

This is "Live Data" using a Snap-On Solus Ultra diagnostic machine

So about €2500:eek::eek::eek:

Thanks guys :) Do you know if something else might be the problem? The car was working fine for a week till that bloody compressor stopped working.. maybe a leak in the strut....?

Yeah man its 4x500 so 2000 british pounds:D and this tax is only for using the road no issurance and no gas ... here in Holland 90% of the cars are Toyota Aygo & hybrids hahaha

Certainly sounds like you need a new compressor. And fix the leak on the tank and make sure no other leaks. Then see?

Your compressor went US and your Specialist put in a re-built compressor that lasted a week only, so as Datatek suggests you have a leak somewhere (crossover valves?) that has burnt out the re-built compressor and possibly your old one. Re-building an old compressor can work well if the Job is done correctly and the motor and bearings are still good but its a gamble. I have done a few in he past and some last a good while whilst others are a disappointment. Live data is good if you have the kit and understand what is going on, you need a good operator. If you have leak then your compressor is running all the time and burns out.

RS200Custom may have the answer/solution..

check the valve block fixed to the end of the air tank as the supplies to all 4 air springs go through it

If the valve block is duff the air might not be getting through to the tank or spring could be leaking back , theres a whole thread on it on here about the valve block.

Hi LAROHOLLAND, such a shame you chaps are charging (like Germany) for a pee on motorway service areas! Think its 70 cents and a voucher back for 50 cents. Worked out had to go 135kms last trip for a pee as I had run out of Euro coins and paper Euro's. I could buy a meal with a card but not get cash from a cash machine - lesson learn't. ps its free in the UK, just been!

Holland is a very strange country haha taxes taxes taxes..... So guys the thing to do is? Check the valve block behind the airtank? How can i check it best way? I saw that three valves are back middle and next to the compressor wich one? thnx guys

Cross link valves are mounted on the wheel arches behind the plastic inner wheel arch liner.

Thnx, anyone knows where i can buy this stuff?
Before you buy you need to prove that is the problem, look at the thread from rs2000custom, I think he rebuilt his. Have you checked the front and rear airbags on the side that goes down for leaks? If the leak is serious it will not drop level.

Hi,

I will have a check if it is this. No leak found at all

The car sometimes goes up by itslef,lowers by itself etc. Strange behaviour.

The passenger side on the right side is the only corner that is lowering. This while i am driving so the car constantly pulles it to one side. It seems it is not getting enough pressure but it doesnt go to fault code...
