Hello All

I've changed the fuel filter on my L series today, i can't get fuel to pump through when pumping bleed pump

My hippo is parked on a slight cambered slope, i.e. f/o/s wheel is slopping down hill

Have i got enough fuel int tank? its reading just below 1/4 of a tank

It looked so quick and simple on the you toob vid

Thanks

Mell

slope and 1/4 tank should not be issue, have you pumped enough? it takes a bit..
is the bleed pump working properlly?

I turned engine over a few times and started again, 6 pumps and i got fuel, bleed filter, started engine and a short drive around block, tickover is better and feels smother to drive.
Old filter had a date on it of 2006 so it was due for replacement

so just needed a bit more pumping, the filter is very big so it takes a lot till it fills.
2006  I try to do it every year, along with oil and air filter change.

We do very little miles in the Freelander as it's only used at the weekends to take the dogs into the local woods etc. After doing a total rebuild on a classic car i'm bored so i thought i could tinker with the Freelander, getting used to it and enjoying it so air filter done fuel filter done, oil and filter next job
