hi again all,,
according to the workshop manual / haynes, in order to lock the crankshaft on the L series you need to put a 6.5mm drill bit through the locating hole situated near the crank sensor!
now then, where the bloody hell is it,, spent close to an hour searching last night with no joy and i need to get the crank pully off before i can get any further into how knackered my engine!! anyone know where this nasty little hole is? pics would be better lol
however did get the remains of my very deaded cambelt out and the bottom end is turning nicely so hoping i may have avoided any serious piston damage!
